Reemigrācijas attīstība Baltijas valstīs
2016
Migrācija ir nebeidzams pārvietošanās process, gan reģionālā, gan globālā līmenī. Migrācija ietekmē dažādas cilvēku grupas – ekonomiskos migrantus, bez pajumtes palikušās personas, bēgļus (patvēruma meklētājus) un ceļotājus. Migrācija ir daudzslāņains, sarežģīts process, kuru izpētes gaitā nepieciešams skatīt no dažādiem aspektiem, tādēļ, lai gūtu plašāku pārskatu par migrācijas paveida – remigrācijas attīstību Baltijas valstīs, maģistra darbs ir strukturēts divos līmeņos – empīriskais pētījums par trīs Baltijas valstīm – Lietuvu, Latvija un Igauniju un kvalitatīvais pētījums – reemigrācijas attīstība Baltijas valstīs: Latvijas gadījums. Cooperation on Readmission in the Mediterranean Area and its Human Rights Implications
The author demonstrates the inefficiency of the Italian migration and emergency policies that has been adopted at the arrival of undocumented migrants from Northern Africa in 2011. The chapter uses the case of Italy to show the weakness of Europe in developing effective forms of coexistence an…
Diaspora Start-Up Programs and Creative Industries: Evidence from Romania
2021
Romania is one of the main countries of origin for intra-European migration. The national authorities recently implemented the first major program —Diaspora Start-up—to support the business initiatives of Romanian citizens who live abroad and who are interested in opening a business in their home country. This scheme was developed in parallel with a broader program—Romania Start-up Plus—which was designed to support the entrepreneurial initiatives of individuals residing inside the country. These programs have already supported over 8,600 non-agricultural start-ups created in urban areas. This study conducted a comparative analysis of the two programs based on different criteria and explore…
El impacto del cambio climático en la movilidad humana : las migraciones climáticas en el contexto internacional y europeo
2021
For decades, the migration phenomenon has been one of the thorniest regulatory issues in the European Union (EU) policy. In addition, today, the fight against climate change in all regions of the world makes the situation worse for the new ?climate refugees? or ?environmental displaced people?, whose legal status is not yet covered by the ancient 1951 Refugee Convention.
